Ever since the trans-Tasman V8 ute event of 2006 Manfeild has been a home to the RYCO 24.7 series, returning in 2023 as part of the Super Sprint MotorSport New Zealand Championship event.
Expecting an increased starting lineup of 17 the entry list will include Manfeild local and long-time V8 Ute racer Geoff Spencer.
Into their third round (of four) for the 2023 championship title, current leader is Waikato’s Brad Kroef.
Shadowed by Phil Ross in second, there are five drivers in striking distance of the series podium.
The Manfeild round begins 15 April with qualifying Saturday morning and an eight lap race in the afternoon.
Sunday’s 12-lap race includes a top-ten reverse grid from the Saturday race result. The finale is a further 10-laps – held early in the afternoon.
